An Evening of Harp Meditation

What if, for one evening, we allowed the world to slow down? Two harpists, two distinctive musical worlds, and sounds in which ancient melodies, nature-inspired motifs and the freedom of improvisation come together. Katri Tikka and Ieva Baublytė invite you on a meditative musical journey, where the resonance of harp strings, the melodies of the recorder and moments of silence create space to pause, listen and simply be.

The silence that lives between two sounds. Where thoughts begin to settle, and music becomes not only something we hear, but something we feel.

The Lithuanian Harp Festival Baltic Echoes invites you to An Evening of Harp Meditation – an intimate musical experience that moves beyond the familiar boundaries of a concert, inviting listeners into a living world of sound.

This evening brings together two distinctive artists – Finnish harpist Katri Tikka and Lithuanian early harp and recorder player Ieva Baublytė.

Katri Tikka moves freely between classical and contemporary music, folk traditions, jazz and improvisation. Ieva Baublytė brings the delicate sounds of early music, medieval modes and improvisation inspired by nature.

Their musical dialogue opens a world where the voice of the early harp meets contemporary musical imagination, and every sound may become the beginning of a new story. Here, music emerges from listening, from the present moment, from silence.

This is an evening without hurry. Without anything to achieve. An invitation to close your eyes and allow the music to unfold – sometimes like a gentle breeze moving through the treetops, sometimes like ripples on water slowly dissolving into stillness.

An evening where music becomes a space to reconnect with yourself.
